Unlike conventional dual action polishers, the XC 3401 uses a ratchet and gear-tooth design rather than a counterweight and eccentric offset to create its two polishing motions — forced rotation that will not stall under pressure.
Thanks to the direct orbital drive, very little heat develops on the surface, making it ideally suited to temperature-sensitive finishes.
