This coarse polish is the right starting grade only when the metal condition genuinely requires aggressive correction. Using it on a lightly marked or plated surface could be excessive, so careful material identification and testing are essential. Do not use it on mirror stainless steel, chrome, nickel, or other plated surfaces, and progress to finer grades for the final appearance.
